Aldi grocery recommendations
Lately, I have been going back and forth between Aldi, Publix and Walmart for groceries, but I always keep going back to Aldi for multiple reasons. The first is because most of the foods are organic which indicates that those food processes limit their exposure to synthetic pesticides, artificial hormones, and antibiotics. The second reason is because a lot of their products with very little added ingredients. For example, their sourdough, marinara sauce and kombuchas are fantastic! I really love their potato chips too because they usually only have salt and avocado oil and that is it for ingredients (but they are harder to find). Lastly, the price-point is also very competitive to Walmart which means that I can usually get a ton of healthy and organic foods for less than $150. They also have awesome dog products, cleaning products and cool new items down my favorite aisle that I have dubbed the “random crap aisle” (if you know, you know). But in general, here are my current favorite “must have’s” from Aldi:
Magic Spoon Protein bars: only 12 Grams of protein but they taste SO good and are a great preworkout snack
Chicken Sausage: it’s organic and has limited ingredients! Found in the deli meats section!
Cold Brew Coffee: you can get a whole unsweetened cold brew coffee for only $4! That’s less than a medium Starbucks cold brew!
Greek Yogurt: they have their own brand that is a dupe for Oikos Triple Zero for ½ the price!
Sparkling Waters: you can get a 12-pack of sparkling waters for only $3!
Energy Drinks: they have a large variety of energy drinks, both name-brand like Celcius, and non-name brand for ½ the price at other retailers!
Meat Sticks: they have the Chomps brand, but they also released their own version for ½ the price and it is just as good! I love the jalapeno one!
Kombucha/Probiotic drinks: they have a lot of variety in the refrigerated section like strawberry vanilla and they are low sugar and taste SO good!
Dark Chocolate: there’s my fave (the 85%) which is only 3 grams of added sugar and you can get a whole bar for only $3!
Grass-fed beef/steak: this the cheapest I can find on the market because you can literally get 2 grass-fed organic steaks for less than $12 and that is unbeatable!
Pickle/Everything Bagel Cashews: these are a great source of healthy fats/protein and these flavors are literally so addicting!
Frost Sparkling teas: these are super low calorie (less than 10 calories) and delicious! I love the peach and pineapple ones and they’re usually only 80 cents a bottle!
I hope this list helped your next grocery trip! Be sure to tag me on Instagram in your shopping trip if you purchased any of these items and let me know your honest review!! :)
